My laptops Windows 8 license is stored in BIOs firmware so I need to reinstall Windows 8 with an OEM version of an ISO. I don't think a retail version of Windows 8 will work to have the license auto populate after Windows is installed. After each 8.1 upgrade, windows 8.1 disables my system restore points too. Seriously, I know there is a flaw in the files being downloaded thru Microsoft. And probably a flaw in the ISO image HP used to install the Windows 8.
