Before you copy this actor's definition into your mod, remember the following things: You do not need to copy that actor, since it is already defined.; In fact, it's not just useless, it's actually harmful as it can cause problems. I was recently thinking why there's no under barrel grenade launcher in PB. Thanks for this great addition to the PD arsenal, might I suggest to give this attachment to the carbine instead of the rifle as it is the 'tactical weapon' of this mod and is not normally duel wielded.

You can get health by glory killing, so the siphon grenade isn't really necessary. The hologram is a nice idea but it stops the enemy from attacking you and that's really the whole point of the game.
You still have to keep moving so its actually more distracting than useful, I sometimes threw a hologram when I wanted a grenade. There was never a moment where I really needed to use either. The grenade has its uses, mostly at the start and end of a fight. It's a bit too slow when things really kick off. Fully upgraded equipment for the suit + upgrade equipment rune. Get those and you're golden.
Seriously, for nightmare you want to max out the survival tree first then get on upgrading equipment. Frags do ridiculous amounts of damage and siphon grenades will restore health and armor with L2 rune + max upgrades. After that, max out powerups. Later on when you're given berserk runes, the longer duration as well as swapping to faster glory kills + increased range on glory kills turns you into a room blender. As far as siphon grenades, you're either throwing it short, the enemy doesn't have that much health left to siphon, or they just happen to be leaving the radius.
The guide for Doom contains the detailed walkthrough with descriptions of all mission objectives, locations of the collectibles and tips for the challenges. We included detailed level maps where we have marked the most important places. One of the chapters is dedicated solely to secrets and collectibles. This chapter also contains detailed maps. There, you can learn where you can find Elite Guards, Bobbleheads, Data Logs or Classic Maps.Besides the walkthrough and the chapter dedicated to secrets, our guide also contains various basic tips. Read them to learn how to keep your hero alive and what you should pay attention to when you are playing the game. All weapons and their upgrades have a dedicated chapter.
Our guide also has a section dedicated to unlocking achievements - it should be helpful to those who want to beat the game in 100%.Doom, released in 2016, is another instalment in one of the most popular FPS series. We play as the Doom Marine who explores corridors of a military research facility on Mars. The gameplay is based on dynamic and brutal fights with monsters. Despite the focus on combat, the game rewards exploration by having numerous secrets such as new weapons.Michal 'kwisc' Chwistek & Jacek 'Stranger' Halas (www.gamepressure.com). Doom allows you to choose from five different difficulty levels. However, you should ignore Nightmare and Ultra Nightmare for now.
These levels are for those who are looking for a challenge (these levels also require you to beat the game once). In our opinion, the normal difficulty ( Hurt Me Plenty) is the best choice. It offers enough challenge for a first playthrough but it doesn't force players to repeat every fight multiple times (provided that you know the game's basics and you are familiar with the available weapons). The only exceptions can be the boss fights that happen in the later levels - they are much more difficult than battles with regular enemies. These boss fights require a good reflex but you also need to learn your enemies' move sets and know how to react to them. The difficulty level can be changed at any point of the game. It is important to know that changing your current difficulty level doesn't block you from getting achievements for completing the game.
There are no achievements tied to difficulty levels. Choosing the easiest difficulty ( I'm Too Young to Die) is good when you want to get the platinum trophy as fast as possible. Doom can be a challenging game if you are used to slower gameplay known from other FPS titles. Below we have listed the most important tips on how to die less in Doom. More hints can be found in General tips chapter. Be on the move.
The gameplay of Doom forces players to move around a battlefield. Staying still or hiding behind covers makes you an easy target for demons. It will also make the fights longer. Strafe (move to the sides) and jump a lot. Explore locations before you start fighting.
This isn't always possible but there are locations where you can start a battle by, e.g. Interacting with a destructible nest. Memorize the layout of platforms and ledges as well as places where you can find health, ammo and other supplies.
Use your environment. Some locations offer additional items that can keep your hero alive. They are mainly power-ups that give the Doom Marine unique abilities for a brief moment, e.g. Immortality or double damage.
Try to pick them up right after you start fighting - thanks to that you will kill a lot of demons in a short period of time. Also, look for exploding barrels, teleports and plates that can launch your hero into the air. You can use them to, e.g. Escape from a place overrun by demons or to reach a new platform.
Perform as many Glory Kills as possible. Run to every 'glowing' enemy, provided that you won't endanger your Doom Marine. Every successful Glory Kill rewards you with health or ammo. Identify monsters that are the biggest threat. Try to quickly asses which monsters are the most dangerous ones.
Focus on killing demons that can use devastating attacks (e.g. Mancubus or Baron of Hell) as well as those that can summon more enemies (Summoner). Use various weapons. Choose weapons that suit a given fight. Avoid situations where you, for example rely only on one powerful gun while you are against agile and not very durable Imps. Try to switch between your weapons so you won't run out of ammo. Your first choice during a fight should be a weapon with full ammo.
You can carry only a limited amount of ammunition. Search for secrets that will make the Doom Marine more powerful. Some of the collectibles found in Doom can only broaden your knowledge of the game's universe or they serve as Easter eggs. However, there are some that can help you.
These collectibles are Argent Cells (you can extend your health/armor bar or carry more ammo), Elite Guards (they provide you with tokens that can be spent on upgrading your Praetor Suit), Field Drones (unlock new modifications for the weapons) and Trial Stones (complete these challenges to unlock new runes and upgrade those you already own). Almost every map in Doom is filled with secrets. Their list can be found below. More detailed information on every type of the collectibles can be found in Types of collectibles in Doom chapter. Automap - These secrets reveal an entire map.
Thanks to them it is easier to see which parts of the map haven't been explored yet. Argent Cell - Each of these secrets allows you to increase your hero's stats permanently. You can extend your health or armor bar as well as to increase the amount of carried ammo. Field Drone - Each Drone unlocks one new weapon modification (you can unlock one or two modifications for each weapon but you can use only one at the same time). Data Log - These collectibles provide you with knowledge of the game's universe. Elite Guard - These corpses provide you with one Research Token that you can spend on upgrading your Praetor Suit. Bobblehead - Add these figures to your collection.
Check them in the main menu. Trial Stone - Every Stone allows you to start a challenge. Complete it to receive a rune that will grant your hero new abilities. Classic Map - These secrets allow you to unlock a stage from the classic Doom from 1993. Classic Maps can be accessed from the main menu. Secret - The majority of the secret areas are tied with other collectibles but there are a few exceptions. A secret location can contain, e.g.
A new weapon or a lot of supplies. Is Doom's platinum trophy difficult to unlock? The Platinum trophy in Doom isn't hard to unlock - we would score its difficulty 3 or 4 out of 10. You will need at least 20 hours to unlock it. Doom's single player campaign isn't long but to get the platinum trophy you will also have to play other modes and spend more time on finding collectibles and challenges. The biggest trait is that the game does not have any achievement for completing the campaign at a specific level of difficulty. If you want to unlock 'platinum' faster, then you can complete all the stages on the lowest level of difficulty.
The only exception is the Step into Frenzy trophy, but it forces you to complete only the first mission at the highest level of difficulty. This mission does not offer very demanding fights and playing it carefully should do the trick.Another huge convenience in unlocking the platinum trophy is the lack of difficult and time-consuming multiplayer trophies. You don't have to worry that the multiplayer mode will prevent you from getting the platinum trophy even though you got all single player ones. The game has multiplayer trophies but they are related to the updates released after Doom's premiere - you don't have to unlock them to get the platinum. There are two major factors that have an impact in unlocking Doom's platinum trophy. The first one is to get all the secrets in the game.
Check out our Secrets chapter to learn where you can find every single collectible. The second factor is the necessity of completing various challenges. Some of them will require various skills, especially those related to the runes and those related to weapon masteries.
Luckily for you, these challenges can be played multiple times. You can also reach those locations where you can have easier time unlocking said masteries.Detailed descriptions of all the achievements can be found in. The regular versions of these consoles can have occasional frame drops. Also, the regular version of Xbox One can change the resolution to lower when there is a lot happening on the screen.PS4 and XONE versions support 4K resolution but this is available only to PS4 Pro and Xbox One X consoles. The update that adds 4K textures must be downloaded by all players which means that the console version of Doom requires 80 GB of space.Regardless of which console you own and in which resolution you play, Doom is one of the most demanding console games. publisher: Bethesda Softworks. platform: PC, PS4, XONE. rated: PEGI: Age 18+ / ESRB: MatureIn 1993, Doom made its debut, forever changing the genre of first-person shooters.
Over two decades later, the fourth full-fledged installment of the series, being a sort of a reboot and comeback to the roots, came out. The key story premise, which binds subsequent installments of the Doom series together, did not change significantly. In the game, we yet again assume the role of a lone commando and are sent to a military research facility of the UAC corporation on Mars. Upon our arrival, it turns out that in the course of some experiments, the scientists accidentally opened a wormhole, letting hordes of terrifying monsters into the base. The new Doom puts an emphasis on fast-paced, dynamic action which brings it closer to original Doom and its sequel, Doom II: Hell on Earth. We therefore focus, first and foremost, on spectacular elimination subsequent enemies with a large variety of weapons. Our arsenal consists primarily of new versions of the already known guns and gadgets, such as the chainsaw, Plasma Rifle, Chaingun and Railgun. The developers from id Software implemented a classical system of health regeneration in the form of first aid kits and brought back the armor points from the original Doom.Similarly to the previous installments in the Doom series, one of the game’s key elements is its extensive multiplayer.
It offers a number of competitive options in several variants. Thanks to a multitude of power-ups, gameplay is even faster than in the single player mode. Id Software decided to take online play one step further, by offering the players the SnapMap feature. With this tool, everyone can create not only their very own maps, but also scripts and game modes: from repelling subsequent hordes of enemies in cooperation with others, to classical deathmatch, either free-for-all or in teams.Doom is powered by the so-called id Tech 666 engine. The game is characterized by intense violence, although it does not diminish the feel of the characteristic gameplay elements as well as the unique atmosphere of the series.
