Vila Petra is an ideal location as it's only 100yds off the strip but manages to remain quiet.I've stayed there a couple of times and would happily stay there again. The accommodation and facilities in the apartments are excellent.
It has a nice big pool and a gym. I'm not sure if you're looking for entertainment in your hotel, if so this is not the place.My only reservation in recommending it to a group of young girls is that it tends to be a quieter, more family oriented hotel rather than a party place so if you do stay there I would suggest that you have some consideration for fellow guests if you're arriving back late at night. We had a few restless nights when a group of young women stayed above us and didn't realise the 'power' of several sets of stilettos clicking on marble floors in the small hours!!! We got back from there last week.
We hired a about 5 mins walk from the Strip, and there was no problem with noise at all. The Strip caters for all tastes ( we had a 71 year old in our party ), with plenty of choice, live entertainment, etc. Offers similar, and the train runs into early hours of morning ( about 3.00 am ), so no problem with transport.
Beer prices were amazing too, most places had happy hour from 11.00 am till 10.00 pm!
